Clouds above fl200 - TuliaoGOLD - 2017-01-30 Good evening, I wonder why the program does not have clouds above the fl 200, cumulus type. OFF: Congratulations on the free app. Clouds above fl200 - fsxwx - 2017-01-31 Yes indeed, this is correct. Above FL220 all cumulus (CU) clouds are replaced with the stratus (AS) type. Just to mention: FSX/P3D only has three different cloud types: CU, AS or CI (cirrus). And the CU clouds in FSX/P3D rather looks like those puffy cotton-wool clouds, that are mainly found in lower levels. Thus, they look odd (IMHO) in higher levels. Therefore, FSXWX has to decide on its own, which type is probably the most suitable one under the current conditions. |
