WX DATA not downloading

While running FSX (SE), I receive the following on launch:

20:18: SIMCONNECT connection established
20:18: FSUIPC connection established
20:18: WX DATA initial download failed
20:18: Connection closed


I am receiving the preceding info when launching FSXWX1.6.1., and:

20:23: SIMCONNECT connection established
20:23: FSUIPC connection established
20:23: Flight Simulator: FSX
20:23: WX DATA download failed
20:23: Injection mode: all - 0 new stations created - 0 stations injected


with v1.5.2.  

Is anyone else receiving this?  It was running like a top until about 02Jul2020, then suddenly nothing.

Me too with 1.6.2

No other version besides 1.6.2 is working any more (see changelog).

1.6.2. should work - tested it a minute ago and weather download was successful, see attached image.

Yeh ive had the same problem for weeks downloaded the new version today and still no joy i cant stand fsx without fsxwx!

Strange.
I checked once again and don't have a problem, also not for UMKK for that specific date/time.

I've got the same problem with FSXWX 1.6.1.  I've tried it with FSX and with P3Dv5 and I get the same thing.  In FSX, FSXWX tries to automatically connect but then I get the Wx data Initial download failed and Connection closed messages.  Also a message pops up in FSX "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.  If you click quit the application will close immediately.  Exception from HRESULT 0xC000014B"

I get the same messages in P3Dv5.

If I try to connect again, the same thing happens again.

That's strange, I've only just downloaded the latest version of FSXWX and when I start it up it's showning the version as 1.6.1 not 1.6.2

Just downloaded again and got 1.6.2.  And it works!  In P3Dv5 at least

One thing. If I try to reconnect 10-15-20 times it could works. But with errors again. See attach.

Hello! Thanks for this great utility. What I like the most is that I have the current time regardless of my simulation date. I have the following problem, I used version 1.6.1 through a proxy without problems, with version 1.6.2 should I always be connected with a real IP? Thanks for everything, Andrew

There are a lot of problems wit 1.6.2 !
On my side, Up to date Windows 10, FSX-SE up to date

1- Needs several attempts before connecting
2- after having successfully connected (initial download OK), many "WX DATA download failed"
3 - And some "WX DATA download for DWC failed"

Please find a log as attachment.

No, problems aren't solved in 1.6.3

It connect after 20 times pushing "Connect", but along the flight, plenty of " weather data failed to load" and no dwc loads.

You are right...
When I came back from cacation, I gaot the issue agagain with 1.6.3a and then with 1.6.3...
Have to retry to connect many times before succeeding, an then a lot of download failures happen again :-(

Excatly the same thing here,
Need about 20-30 attempts to connect.
Everything is ok but at high altitude i have this message "Wx data download failed"
When arriving at destination, it ok again, weather is downloading

My ISP is "Orange", I could solve the problem by using a VPN (express VPN) !
Then FSXWX runs perfectly well...
