I get the same error when the "current weather" server is down. Try checking FSXWXmetar.txt in temp folder, if its empty or has only a few entries, then its down. If current weather fails, try historic weather option (i.e. yesterdays weather) until its running again. Its been happening alot recently and that normally fixes it for me.
