Hi
I am encountering a very similar problem in FSX:SE. I will normally sit down at my PC to fly in the late evening but set the time in FSX to DAY time or early afternoon. Most of the flight, from startup to almost approach phase (circa 40 minutes or so after startup - I only do short flights, say LIRN-LMML), FSXWX time setting is set to "SIM" not "SYSTEM" and operates perfectly with METARS showing correct Date & Time stamp. However, after some time, as explained, it seems to reset to system time, and also causes FSX to reload scenery/traffic/weahter/etc. as it does when starting a flight.
Is there reason or setting which must change? Perhaps a workaround would be to actually change the PC/Desktop Operating System Date & Time rather that the time in FSXWX, thus retaining SYSTEM TIME.
Thanks
