Metar Issue
#1
I am having a recent problem with FSX. After noticing that it was raining instead of snowing I "reinstalled" the latest version of FSXWX. I checked the weather at the same airport and it was still raining. I looked on my FSXWX client and noticed that I was unable to check any airport METARS, as well as load in any metars. I keep getting "_____ not found" when I try to check. Below is a log of what happens when I load into an airport. Does anyone know how to help?

Yes, when no METAR is available, the weather is purely generated from GRIB data.
In your case, the neareast station in the sim is ED6C which is interpolated by the GRIB stations 18670 18669 18542 and 18541 (the numbers are used internally and do not mean anything).
So, probably none (respectively the minority) of these stations reported snow.
Anyhow: other than for winds (aloft) GRIB data is not really that useful and accurate. METAR reports are far better when it comes to clouds, rain, pressure, etc.pp.
