FSXWX Weather not reflecting reallity.

With Hurricane Matthews, I had input weather conditions from all places from West Indies to Florida, departing in many airports and flying toward the hurricane, but all I can get is some winds and "rain" sometimes.

Have anyone tried to fly through the hurricane obtaining the true winds, clouds and rain effects?

I just registered here to say exactly the same thing. I've been nothing but happy with the engine every day until just now. Flew right through the eye wall to the center, and never saw anything over 50 knots of wind, and was usually less than 30. Only occasional rain was noted. The wind directions seemed to be very accurate, even over the open ocean (that's how I'm sure I found the eye), and clouds even looked decent REX is helping with that), but the wind was very underwhelming. Is this a bug?

Did you find any meteorological station (METAR) with winds contradicting what you had in the simulator?

You must keep in mind that the weather engine uses information from the available weather stations. Over the open ocean there is no information, so the weather engine uses extrapolation from the data that is available.

We know from the news that the wind is stronger, but is there actual data from the winds of a hurricane?

If there isn't, the weather engine can't know about it.
